Information Technology

Information Technology refers to anything related to computing technology, such as networking, hardware, software, the Internet, or the people that work with these technologies. Information Technology Law deals with the protection of computer software and hardware, access and control of digital information, privacy issues, IT security, internet access and usage, and electronic commerce. In Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) is a major piece of legislation dealing with Information Technology rules and regulations.
